Simple rental tents for budget-friendly group camping

Our Bunk Tents are the most basic rental tent option at Mendip Basecamp. They are a practical, low-cost choice for families, friends and groups who want a ready-pitched tent with bunk beds, without needing to bring their own tent.

These tents are not glamping. They are simple, functional camping accommodation designed for people who want somewhere dry and straightforward to sleep after a day of adventure. They are also in their final season with us, and they are showing their age, so the price reflects this. We want guests to know what to expect: the Bunk Tents are tired, but they remain a useful budget option for a no-frills camping stay.

Each Bunk Tent sleeps up to six people on metal-framed bunk beds. Sleeping mats are included, but you will need to bring your own sleeping bags, pillows and bedding.

Each tent also has a picnic bench outside, giving you a simple outdoor space for meals, games, kit sorting or sitting together after a day on site.

Basecamp is a family-run campsite in the heart of the beautiful Mendip Hills, just outside Bristol, five minutes from the M5. Surrounded by ancient woodland, our spacious campsite is perfect for families, small groups and adventurers.
